There is hope.
We know the path to healing can be narrow, but our mission is to provide a message of hope and healing for those of you who have lost a child - or are experiencing loss of any kind - during your time of grief and sorrow. We know that our story won’t be the same as yours, but we also know that the same God who was with us is with you in your time of suffering. Jesus brought us hope when everything else told us to feel hopeless. He not only mourned and grieved with us but provided unprecedented comfort and assurance.
God was, is, and always will be with us as we continue our journey. We want to communicate to you that He is with you too. He’ll walk with you, grieve with you, and bring you through. As you read our story and see how we navigated the aftermath of the death of our daughter, Blakely, you may find it difficult. Whether you’re experiencing grief and sadness from your own situation or are simply impacted by ours, we hope you see a story not just of sorrow and immense heartbreak, but of hope and healing. What a surprise she was, but the best one ever. We were scared, excited, and nervous all at once. Start here as you work your way through our journey with Blakely and see how God gave us one of the most beautiful and incredible gifts we could ever receive.
Very soon after Blakely died, we began to write down what we were experiencing emotionally, what God was speaking to us, and how we were processing all that we had lost. Even though this may be a difficult section to read, it’s here you’ll join us as we work through our loss and discover the hope Jesus had for us.
Since Blakely died on October 12, 2019, we’ve taken many steps towards healing. More so, Jesus has constantly been walking with us as we’ve taken those steps. See how our lives have changed and how our family has grown even more since Blakely.
